1. Stop cowering. Stop running. At least from your responsibilities because
every other way you run is fine. What does a girl whose riddled sphinxes
be afraid to say? Hurricanes do not think twice before obliterating every-
thing in their path. And i know you've said more than once that everyone
is a natural disaster in their own way.
2. Don't bottle up what you're feeling. You aren't jam waiting for the winter
season. Snap the hell out of your hibernation wild child. You are alive here
and now with so much more to say. So say it. Let your emotions run like
race cars sprinting the home stretch and if they should collide like tectonic
plates, by fucking god let them.
3. Stop and smell the fucking roses. If you think this is a contradiction to my
previous statement, hold on a second. You my girl, are constant motion. If
not in your body than in your mind. Always daydreaming, breathing air from
somewhere you've never set your foot on. Life isn't all about movement.
Sometimes its about relishing in that second where the sun is not hitting you
in the face the moment you wake up or that time your father took you in his
arms and told you he was sorry and that he loved you.
4. Love yourself. Remember that one time when our eighth grade science teacher
told us all that we were stardust. Remember how you leaned into my ear and
whispered, "Bullshit." You were not ready to romanticize yourself. Some days
you still aren't. You are convinced that there is a flaw in the code of your body.
Some mishap in the matrix. But i want you to cherish the vessel you live in. It is
you. Romanticize the shit out of it. Write poetry about how you can find lines
underneath your skin that mimic constellations. Compare yourself to the galaxy, to
the very earth you stand on. You are beautiful no matter which way you shine. And
this time that i tell you that you are stardust, i don't want you to tell me "Bullshit".
I want you to say "Yes, Yes I Am."
